Excited.

We got a call this morning from a social worker about a placement! They need a home for a six-year-old boy for about a month, and it might turn into longer. It was possible that we were going to have three brothers for the weekend as well, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen right now. Situations change so quickly in the foster care system. It's probably better to start out slowly anyway. So...maybe as soon as the day after tomorrow we'll have an addition to our household!

Day No. 22: All ready for you.

Just got back from quilt group (I got all the little squares cut out and am ready to go to town on the fun sewing part!) and am trying to decide whether to make a cherry pie or cupcakes for a get-together at our house this evening. They both go well with coffee. :)

A month or more, huh? I think you guys need a gaming system of some kind with a ten year old boy coming. :)

That is exciting! I will pray things go smoothly with the household member.

The room looks absolutely wonderful.

Thanks everyone!

Jess, he's only six. He probably will think our house is pretty boring though. :) We'll have to be creative in coming up with activities for him.

About the photos, Bob, I'm not sure yet. I have to check with the social worker on that. I know we have to be really careful about what information we give out, etc.

The six year old boys on our street are pretty happy to play with card board box's and light sabers and have some sort of war most of the time. :)
Blessings to you and your boys!

Just a thought, my 6 year old boy likes Legos, baking with me, books, crafting of all kinds with preferebly lots of tape (duck tape is extra neat), wrestling with his dad and helping do jobs that we are working on.
